Definition
- Refers to educational opportunities in varied forms provided for adults after they have left the formal education system. Adults may engage in such education to, for instance, improve their skills or qualifications, to retrain for a new line of work, or just to learn something new. Does not generally include education leading to a qualification, or employee training.
